About Us

With live music almost at a standstill, and chances to get together drastically reduced, the idea of doing something live online leaped out as a way to continue offering something musical to the world, with at least an element of spontaneity and the chance for some kind of real-time interaction and communication. Nothing can match the energy and atmosphere of a real gig, but with no prospect of anything on the horizon, this seems like the next best thing! I've been inspired by some wonderful livestreams that I've caught online (see the blog page for links) and hopefully as we go along we can enjoy and build something that connects us and encourages us in this weird and potentially lonely era. The great thing is, of course, that we can come together from all over the world, and watch later if we can't make the actual time. Still, watching while the proceedings are actually in progress is definitely the most exciting, and I love getting messages in the chat while I'm in the thick of things :)

Leaving a message in the live chat - to do this, you need to have a YouTube account. It's easy to set up. However, if you'd rather not sign up to YouTube, don't be discouraged from watching! I can feel that you're there!!

So please join me on this journey - it's still a work-in-progress (the sound on the first two streams was really terrible) - who knows where it will go? And, in time, I look forward to seeing you in actual real person and celebrating that we got through these strangest of times together, with music...
