An amazing 42 hours in Rome - only a little longer than Audrey Hepburn gets in Roman Holiday - enough for a first dash around the Eternal City! I really loved its style and vibe! Out-of-season but with gorgeous weather, not busy at all, friendly people, round the clock eating... I felt really lucky to be there right now. And it is incredibly beautiful. Less interested in the monuments to wealth and power than the street life and quirky details, I would like to go back again (for longer) before too long... Inspiration partly came from Ettore Scola's film 'A Special Day' (recently watched on BFI player), it was thrilling to visit the film's location. This picture doesn’t fit on my screen and something about seeing it little by little as I scrolled down made my heart do a little leap! I hope you get back before too long, as you desire. I’m going to just have a quick glance at the album because it’s already late, even here :)
