You might have noticed these two in the Header picture - struggling with that piano, in one of their most famous scenes. Ah, how warm and tender they are, somehow, even though they're always fighting - they make me think of home, and everyone being together. On my last morning in LA, I made time to visit the actual steps where it was filmed!!! They're still there, though the open land around is filled in with houses now. What a thrill it was to climb the stairs - and count them (134 if I remember correctly?). Laurel and Hardy made the film in 1932 - but of course it's timeless. The stairs are now officially named the 'Music Box Steps'; local residents even re-enact the scene every year as part of a community festival! :))
Wow, really similar! Yes, good thing no pianos were around...
Nice pilgrimage destination! I like how the plants are trying to take over:) It reminds me of steps in our town where my kid was taken to run up and down with his PE class. I don’t think his teacher had seen this movie or the assignment would have been even harder:D
