Bristol & Bath for a song

Trips coming thick and fast just now! Travelled to Bristol to see singer-songwriter Courtney Marie Andrews and have a browse round, with a side-trip to Bath (only 11 minutes away by train, it would be a shame not to). Many fresh shoots appearing post-pandemic - pop-ups, cafes, revamps, meetings, protests, mash-ups (a shop selling records, plants and coffee was buzzing) - all promising signs of life! Bristol and Bath both great towns! Let me show you what I found...

What I like about this image is how the colours of the moss covered pavement in the alley and those on the left hand foreground of the wall echo the painted strips opposite. Also how the partly seen bulb illuminated sign through the doorway also connects the painted wall with its shape. Finally all those squares and lines within the walls and pavement add to it further.

Great selection of photos again. Did you enjoy the concert as much as the delights of Bath and Bristol?

Hard to pick, all excellent! But it was the concert that took me there :)

Another good headline :) That record/plant/coffee shop would definitely also be selling marijuana here. New recreational cannabis shops are what’s booming. They seem to have bought up most of the billboard space. There’re great programs to try to ensure that people previously convicted only of non-violent pot offenses can get a fair share of small business loans, startup assistance, etc. Also, for the first time in my life, I saw a “now hiring“ billboard from Herman Miller. What a labor shortage!
