This is Peace Cat, I think he's (fairly traded) from Bali, and he came from the Exeter Peace Centre which I visited on a recent trip to my second-nearest city! Happy to report that Exeter gets better with further acquaintance, there seems a long-established independent sector that you don't see at first glance. Fore St seems to be its epicentre, with the Peace Centre, Book Cycle, The Glorious Art House, Zero Waste etc etc all on or near this street; Exeter Phoenix Arts Centre is nearby. Out of the main shopping area there are many quirky corners, and interesting multi-cultural shops heading out to the north. Then there's the wonderful coastal train journey book-ending any visit. I was really happy to be out exploring again. Perhaps you're starting to get out & about again too - have you visited any new places?

Hello, Peace Cat! Another meow! Yes to the Glorious Art House patio and the soup. We’ll be visiting some new parks to find Curi, the library and Kevin’s curious puppet, but not on a seaside train that’s just like going to Monaco. Really great view!
The art exhibition looks interesting. Was the textile piece ' recovery' in this show too?
Thanks for great photos too! Love that evening sky in the first one. Yeh, Korea comes to Whitby! :)
What is the meal in the photo? It looks interesting. The more I look at the photos and re read your description, the more appealing it becomes.
Exeter sounds like an ideal place to visit. Thanks for the photos.
Not a new place for me,but since I last visited, there is a new takeaway that you may like? and access to the end of the right side of the harbour.
