Go Find The Moon

It's a bit out of sequence now as we move towards film noir for the next livestream, but I can't help sharing my excitement over this! It's a new Laura Nyro record!! Released 2021... The irony is it's an album made up of her very earliest recordings - in fact her audition from 1966, never meant for public performance but suddenly come to light and available. It's released with the blessing of her son and family - with a dedication to Michele Kort, her late biographer, whose book I recently read so avidly. Best of all, it sounds great!!! It runs only 28 minutes, and all the recordings are up on YouTube now anyway, but I'm so happy to feel a new LN record in my hands! It's very nicely done - artwork and sleeve notes etc. And the songs - totally gorgeous!!!
