A suitable inscription from the entrance arch to Dartington Hall - The Sea will be the inspiration for our next Lockdown Livestream on Sunday 18th April. Hope you can join us! Then it was into the beautiful grounds of Dartington, on an impromptu cherry blossom hunt. It's still a bit early in the season here and the blossom hasn't all quite opened yet - but many other things were flowering and it was all stunning. The atmosphere was very palpable, somehow, and the light, the stillness, the birds singing and the fact that no one else was around made for a magical prelude to Easter. I hope the photos convey something of the special air and vividness. Last car in the car park is always a good sign. Have a very happy Easter weekend!

such a beautiful place
That bunny is sitting on the fence. Is he admiring the view or pondering what to do next? I wonder..
Untitled yellow landscape
Beautiful grounds and buildings. It does look so peaceful , I'd love to visit.
I wonder how long bunny will be there for, he nearly had the place to himself!...
A few days ago I was reading about the little off grid cabin you could book next to the river- maybe a bit too isolated for one. Then I started to read about the summer school which I thought may also include craft but music mostly- I'd have to be a beginner. Still possible...
Thanks for the beautiful pictures on a glorious evening.
Oh, wow! Hearts and flowers, thatch and moss and stones, “el musguito en la piedra, ¡ay, sí, sí, sí!” the inscription is right, it’s all right there right now. I want to go! But right here right now I have that same beautiful late afternoon light and the Forsythia is in full bloom, so not long until the other flowers catch up. Still...something missing :) It’s so nice you and the sunburst Swiss bun got to stay until the end of the party. Thank you for taking us along!
