This is the super-busy week of the year as regards concerts and rehearsals and carols services! I love it! But still, it's easy to get over-tired, so it's a quick blog entry tonight! Time for a full-blown classic Laura track - what a blazing triumph of songwriting and overflowing talent this is:
And a bonus (for Day 13) - rare recording of Laura READING the words to Christmas In My Soul:
Two gigs and a dress rehearsal coming up tomorrow - time for sleep!
Here's another version of Eli - big band!

Eli's Comin was an early favourite with it's catchyness and had me bopping about the room happily. Since then you've introduced me to a few more of Lauras subtle and complex lyrics and sounds which project me to think about various things in different ways . Thanks :)
Billy, I’m tickled by your stream-themed and automotive cocktail—a great combo for Phil Hogg. I’m having a harder time wrapping my head around the combo of booze, but I’d be willing to try the drink. It’s kind of a Green Eggs and Ham thing: would you, could you in the dark? I’ve heard there’s dairy-free Bailey’s. I’d go for a shot of that light right into the darkness of coffee. Blue curaçao works with orange juice for a Halloween party drink. Someday I’ll tell you a story about the island of Curaçao, but not in writing…
Oh, look! Phil Hogg is playing The Bay Horse tomorrow! That’ll be great! It seems like Christmas In My Soul was a poem before it was a song? Did many of hers come like that? Thank you for the music, Laura’s and yours too. Today I was listening to You Bring the Sun Out again and it was out :)
Good luck with the concerts. Better give the cider a miss!! ;)
