Happy Halloween! We still have lots of decorations up (thank you Ruth!) and the room is feeling quite cosy as we change clocks and seasons. Everything may well stay up for Thursday's livestream - 8pm UK-time (double-check the local time if you're joining in from another country).
Tonight, in preparation, I listened to Laura through the BIG SPEAKERS. What a revelation! It's so exciting hearing all the layers and dynamics (I was listening to Eli & The Thirteenth Confession, her second album and it's awesome!). It's a shame we mostly listen now through computer speakers - these big guys really push the air and vibrate the floor. It's how we're meant to hear it! On vinyl would be even better, with a sense of side one and two... Anyway the song-list is getting longer and the time is getting closer - hope you can join us on Thursday!
Ha ha Yes,I even get confused sometimes and need to work out what answers go where! James says all the right things in a beautiful way :)
December’s Boudoir, yup, soaring orchestral sounds and yup, about four songs in one, vocals included. These albums where she goes off-piste are such a pleasure.
Ooo, good idea. I'm going to put on the good speakers to listen to her sing the the words "New York Tendaberry"...maybe with a cup of thyme and love tea? :) See you Thursday at 4pm ET!
I've just put the 'album' on so listening to it again.Room looks good! Looking forward to watching the event when I can catch it.Glad the list is getting longer :)) The time change caught me out for DAS yesterday, so worth mentioning !
