Must be travelling on

It's already the 7th of May so the next livestream is just around the corner - Thurs 20th May for the theme Journeys... Journeys can be short or long, happy or sad, inward or outward - but most journeys go better with music, so tune in on the 20th to hear what songs have been chosen! Meanwhile, feel free to send in something for the Over To You page! Billy did just that, please check out his beautiful film by clicking on the Over To You link in the header;) Not only that, he's also suggested a cocktail for the journey - see the Food & Drink page! See you soon on the road...

Julia, what a fun adaptation of that standard! :D It really emphasizes the chasms between everyone’s various living arrangements when the amber of lockdown solidified around us.

'Don't Fence me in' my version is now on the'Over to you section '

I recently heard this song again when a performer sang it on a FB Covid folk group. I was reminded of the time when I was a child and Cleveland County council without consultation with residents fenced off the bungalow complex where my aunty lived to deter the' outsiders' using the green, but as a result blocked their views and isolated the residents. Another aunt then requested the song and story played on a local radio station. It went down in family history!

Well Amanda,I wasn't aware of who Leon was,but as I looked him up , of course I recognised a lot of his songs! I understand why you lookforward to the album at Christmas. The Ragtime cowboy Joe song takes me back to Guide camp when we had American visitors joining us and they taught us that song!

My goodness- memory lane day!

Lovely calm piano music from Bill, but some of those trolly buses look as if they may topple over, which is a bit of a worry!

For the minute at least, sunshine is here in the mitten! Wow, Billy did make a wonderful combination of music and images. I had no idea there were double-decker cable cars. I see it’s specifically Plymouth gin for the fling :) We’re looking forward to journeys of all kinds, especially the virtual one to Devon on the 20th!
