Pianos and staircases just seem to attract each other... Having recently moved a piano from Newcastle to Devon maybe my radar's tuned in to such piano-carrying antics. I watched this lesser-known Ken Loach film, Ae Fond Kiss, while getting ready for the Burns Night livestream. It's a good film - and a key scene involves getting a piano up some stairs...
I felt the same way about the Priest!
I bought ONCE as I know I will watch it again and again.
Just yikes! to that whole preview. There’s a secondary storyline very similar to that love story in “Kim’s Convenience.” It’s hard to know sometimes with multicultural relationships just what one is getting oneself into...I think my South American in-laws would agree :D Piano moving: I know my sister is well-loved because my brother-in-law and nephew moved a piano up a basement stairway and to the new house for her, so that it wouldn’t be left behind when she retired.
Years ago my husband happened to be at a local auction and bought me a piano .( I did fancy learning to play) It cost £4! He then asked someone who happened to be unloading his van would he mind transporting it, that cost £15... My sons learnt to play on it,but as yet I still haven't..
*on my foot!
The PG Tips advert comes to mind. 'Dad,do you know the pianos only foot?'
'You hum it son and I'll play it!'
