Portrait of the artist

Updated: Mar 11, 2021

This time next week we'll have just finished Livestream No.5, St Patrick's Day Irish Special! I really hope you can join in the fun next Wednesday :)) Here's a picture of a famous Irish author playing the piano - do you know who it is? There's a photo of him and many more (sometimes unexpected) piano players on the Gallery page - have a look if you have't seen it, I'm always adding more... I'm also trying to construct a page where music and lyrics can go that might be useful for joining in! I haven't cracked it yet, so I'll attach here notation for a couple of tunes that will feature next week - Sweet Molly and Planxty Robert Jordan. Also lyrics to a well-known song that will come somewhere near the end of proceedings! Enjoy and have a great week :)

We looked up the music. I remembered you posting it to go with the St. Patrick’s livestream. Myles just noticed the Joyce has all the rainbow colors :)

Oh I like the illustration. I had to take a clue from the book on top of the piano too and then look it up. Thanks for the Sweet Molly music. I had printed off some thing different...good job I hadn't learnt it yet. Well, in my dreams!! Ha Ha.

Ah, I see a clue on top of the piano. Guessed and then looked up...I got him! I’ve never read that one. A funny thing happened the first time I played the Irish spotify playlist you made. It got stuck repeating the Yeats somehow, but I didn’t realize because I was doing dishes. I just thought it was long and repetive. I started talking back to it, saying, “just go already. Stop talking about going and start going!” :D (In college I got to write a paper about a Yeats poem and a Lou Reed song because there was a reference to Leda and the swan--any way to work Lou Reed into an English paper :D) Then I liked h…
