It's back to the sea, to mention my friend Sarah's wonderful radio series recorded live around the waters of South Devon. This week's episode especially featured the sound of seals. It's really exceptional radio, poetic, moving and uplifting. The pic is from a coastal walk Sarah and I did a few months ago - this was a good sounding-spot where we sang out to the sea...
Here's the link to listen to this week's broadcast from Sarah

I remembered that I saw an exhibition a couple of years ago of work from an artist who worked with a physicist. I thought Sarah maybe interested if she's not already aware of his work.
Did Sarah write the seal Maiden song?
I've been listening and viewing some of Sarah's work. I find it interesting how her repeated favourite walk in forms her work . This led me to think about this piece little object /art I treasure made by one of my sons which takes me back to a summer's day in our garden when he was about 14. It is now quite wizened made from a gooseberry and thorns and twig from a hawthorn tree.
I love all the blue-gray and that shimmery bit of horizon—a view worthy of a serenade. Thanks to you and Sarah, my lunchtime was a little more serene than it would have been. I feel like Sarah and I could have a good chat about words and illness and uncertainty.
Yes it is beautiful . The early seal sounds, sound like human babies And mudlarks with things lost and coming to the surface and space ships for new journeys.
