Hi! Bridges - our next livestream theme - is coming very soon! (Live on YouTube next Tues 28th Sept, 8pm UK-time). I'm very happy with the topic - lots of resonances and connections have come up around it. What do bridges (literal or metaphorical) mean to you? :))
Anyway, today we can walk across the Brooklyn Bridge - complete with new pedestrian-only walkway - courtesy of ActionKid. ActionKid just walks! It's a premise so radical in its simplicity - just walking, and filming. In the process, we get to visit places at street level and with minimum 'interpretation' - we can just see. Looks like lovely weather in NYC just now - and what a beautiful rainbow nation he passes as he crosses this bridge. Thanks to ActionKid for his dedication to walking and exploring! :)
Bonus extra NYC Bridges - this is new acquaintance Jonathan Spottiswoode (who plays with pal Matti) recording a track on the Williamsburg Bridge. So that only leaves something from the Manhattan (BMW...) :)

I think that my favorite thing about Action Kid is that he sounds so pleasantly like my New Yorker friend who has Chinese parents. I can’t wait to see him and his wife (I love how he says “my wife”) in Connecticut!
This film lead me on to view a tour of Brooklyn and DUMBO! ( over 2 hours long! ) Will need to put on my walking shoes again tomorrow! Ha ha. Thanks:)
It's better than doing street view on Google Earth...because I don't get lost!! Ha
