The English Riviera

Had a few errands to make around Torbay yesterday, so I enjoyed motoring over and seeing the sea! Home of palm trees and Fawlty Towers, in the sunshine Torquay could really almost be the Amalfi Coast (or, yes, the Riviera)...almost... People were swimming. Afterwards called at Cockington - "fake" English village/manor house, made in the 1830s to look much older; but I suppose when something gets to be 180 years old, it has some history of its own. Cheers, here's to the sunshine!

Oh, there’s Torquay! Yeah, 180 is legit old for a house, no matter how old it’s pretending to be. I see the swimmer. That looks cold. Nice map comparison. Hi, Spaceship!

It looks like you've had another happy adventure again too. Good weather and great views. I've not heard of Cocklington- is the thatched house situated there?

I had a great walk with my sister along the river to Runswap and back.Lots of wild flowers along the railway side and old fields full of butter cups and gnarled Hawthorn trees. We found a pencil in a garden.. before stopping off for scone and cream.( my sister also wanted butter!) We walked back along The Monk's Trod an old stone path to the Abbey before a little rest in Pannett Park.

After a meal, we'll be back out to catch another sunset!
