Coming in a little late after the crazy day of THREE gigs (you know what they say about London Buses?). It was really fun to be playing for a live audience again, after so long! If I was feeling a little nervous, something a friend said really helped me - that art, and music, is already there and all around us; our job is just to reach into it and transmit it. It took the pressure off and I could just enjoy the gig :)
Fun too to be in town and looking round the Totnes shops - including the famous cheese shop of Ticklemore St ;)
Laura Day 14 - we come to her induction into the Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame (whatever that exactly is) in 2012. Heartfelt speech from Bette, sweet moment with her son, and nice cover of Stoney End (though I don't think Laura ever worked with a band that size...)
Bonus extra - early recording of Bette, singing Laura's song Been On A Train:
Partying with the in-crowd... ;))
Wonderful Miss M and I love having my stereotyped view of Barry Manilow subverted!!
More from 1970s-era Ms M - this is PERFORMING :)

To celebrate International Phil Hogg Appreciation Week and to honor the founder of our musical community, I’ve changed my display name to contain “Phil Hogg” and I invite you all to do the same. This will also help people searching the internet for Phil Hogg to find his site. See you all for the livestream in FOUR DAYS!
Unfortunately the Cheese shop was shut when I went past:( Great name for a street , but I missed that too when I was in the vicinity! Yum, Cornish Yarg...That parody note just sent me back to student days when my house mate forgot to past on a phone message therefore I missed seeing the Eurythmics at Birmingham Uni- ARGH!!! Every time I hear 'Sweet Dreams' the memory of that missed opportunity still smarts!! I'm so pleased you enjoyed your gig . Here's to the next one !:))) Bette Midler :)))) - Love listening to her even when the song is heavy ! I think I'll re watch some of those 70's talk shows she appeared on -I I…
